The region around the
Neuschwanstein castle and the Füssen area is a travelling paradise.
From Mountian walking to climbing tours.
From simple walks to climbing, everything is offered, what legs and moods need. As mountain fans, awaits for them the “Ammergebirge” one ot the largest reservations in Germany, as well as the summit world, and the steep paths of the “Lechtaler and Tannheimer” Alps.
Whoever doesn´t want to go quite so high can undertake pleasurable rooms through the hilly Allgäuer Pre – Alpen country or through flat forests and meadows where more than 10 idyllic lakes are to be found in the region of “Königswinkel”. Good stretches for the legs.
200 km of well kept and well signed wander ways. Alone in the Füssen area, seduces one to to make expeditions through the appealing landscape. On the way, one comes across guest houses of tradition and cosy mountain chalets – inviting one to rest and to flavour the bavarien and Allgäuer kitchen.

Promising days and more tours are possible on the “König-Ludwig-Wanderweg” or the east Allgäuer higher ways or chalet trekking on the sign posted trail “violet route” of the “Via Alpina”. Winter wanderers are offered more than 50 km of snow cleared paths between Lech, Faulenbach Valley, Hopfen am See and Weißensee.
Dream huts
Mountain huts are a real experience. Cosy lounges and hearty simple meals, are the landmarks of the idyllically suited, lonely situated inns, that often, in early days, offered accomadation for lumberjacks or shepherds – In small lounges, one feels at home – with a crackling fire in thechimney. A hefty swig – an excellent meal – tastes delicous to every wanderer.
