Forggen Lake-shipping
In the probably most beautiful part of the Allgäu.
The reservoir is approximately 12 km long and up to 3 km wide and such as the biggest in Bavaria. The urban Forggenseeschifffahrt uses the whole lake with two motorships in scheduled courses. On the round-trips, you can enjoy the splendid mountain-panorama and the views to Neuschwanstein castle and the historic city.
The two ships, MS Allgäu and MS Füssen make stops at the Festspielhaus,
Waltenhofen, Osterreinen, Dietringen, Roßhaupten and at the reservoir dam.
Ships equipment
The MS "Allgäu" offers 110 seats in the saloon and a further
110 seats on deck.
The MS "Füssen" offers altogether 250
seats in different saloons and 150 seats on deck.
The upper saloon on the MS
"Füssen" with about 120 seats is also in the mainroute and can be separately
booked for different trips.
On board on both ships you get small snacks, ice cream, different beverages as well as coffee and cakes. On the big round-trip, additionally warm meals and sandwiches are offered.
Boat hire
Additionally to the two cruise ships, there is a boat hire with 28 boats including electric, rowing or paddle boats.
