Innsbruck & Wattens in Tyrol
Art, culture & crystals
About 70 miles from Füssen, Innsbruck is a beautiful cultural center with more than 800 years of history. It is a city of artistic treasures, famous for its "Goldenes Dachl" (Golden Roof), incredible statues in the Hofkirche church and the Ambras Castle.
Tyrol’s proud capital
Living history combined with famous names such as Emperor Maximilian I and Maria Theresia. Locations where Tyrol fought for its freedom and venues where athletes fought for their gold, silver and bronze medals. City strolls or mountain hikes. Tyrolean brass music, baroque operas, lederhosen and tuxedos. A city with universities, conferences and excellent shopping. And very close by – the impressive Swarovski Crystal Worlds!
Sparkling Swarovski Crystal Worlds
Swarovski was founded in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski in Wattens, Tyrol and is the worldwide leader of precisely cut and polished crystals. Today, more than 110 years after it was founded, Swarovski is still a family business run by Daniel Swarovski’s fourth and fifth generations of descendants.
Multimedia artist Andre Heller created 14 underground chambers for the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. These chambers hold diverse artistic works dealing with crystals. The result is a space full of discovery. It is a place where one will never experience the same thing twice!
