Travelling from Munich

Best address for navigation is "Hintere Gasse 2" - access via street "Kemptener Straße". Access from the other side of the town will be blocked form beginning of July to beginning of October from 10am to 6pm.
On the motorway to Munich-Garmisch, take the exit “Murnau”. Then carry on through “Murnau” and drive towards “Bad Kohlgrub/Steingaden”. From “Steingaden”, take the B17 (Romantic Road) directly to Fussen.
Cross the bridge over the river Lech and head straight direction city center (do NOT turn left direction Ziegelwies). At the end of the street, you will come to 3 roundabouts in a row - use the last exit each time. You will be on a street where you are allowed to drive only very slowly and drive towards the Fussen Castle. Turn right into Ritterstraße (looks a bit like a pedestrian area). After a couple of meters the only option is turning left into street “Hintere Gasse” - the parking will be on the right.
Please do not forget to make a reservation for the car park.
Travelling from Ulm
Stay on the A7 motorway “Heilbronn-Fussen” until it ends at “Füssen-Zentrum”.
Once you’re in Fussen (crossroads with traffic lights), drive towards “Kempten” until you reach the roundabout “Morisse”. Exit the roundabout and drive towards the town center and the Fussen Castle, the highest point of the town (end of “Kemptner Strasse”/beginning of “Luitpoldstrasse”). Turn into the pedestrian area and continue through “Ritterstrasse”. The navigation point is called “Hintere Gasse”.
Drive left into “Hintere Gasse” and park in the hotel car park.

At Hotel Zum Hechten you can use 6 e-charging stations. 3 charging stations are located in the courtyard, 3 in the underground car park. We ask that you clear the parking space in front of the charging station after charging.
Directions from the train station to the hotel on foot
From the train station, use the Fussen Castle as a guide. You will be able to see it from the exit - look slightly right, where it is situated on a hill above the town.
Walk straight ahead towards the town centre, until you reach the “Luitpold” monument (statue inside the roundabout). From there, walk about 400m along the street called “Luitpoldstrasse” to the right (change sides at the pedestrian traffic light) and turn then left into “Ritterstrasse”. After a few metres, you will see the hotel entrance on the left side. It should only take you around 5 to 7 minutes to reach the hotel from the train station on foot.
Notice:
Trains stop at the train station every hour, on the hour. They arrive five minutes beforehand and leave five minutes after.
