Thermal baths near Fussen

Well-being, warmth and pure relaxation: Dive into the thermal baths of the Allgau and experience recreation, spa and swimming fun under one roof. The perfect timeout in the cold months or in bad weather.

The Koenigliche Kristalltherme

Only just 1,8 miles from the Hotel Hechten in Fussen you will find the perfect place for recovery during your vacation in Germany: The Royal Crystal Spa in Schwangau. Experience wellness and relaxation to the fullest in the “Königliche Kristalltherme” (crystal thermal baths) and put yourself in the royal life of King Ludwig II.

For his Neuschwanstein Castle, King Ludwig II chose the most beautiful region of his Bavaria. Guests of the Hotel Hechten near the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles can enjoy a truly royal experience at the “Königliche Kristalltherme”. Experience the regal ambiance just as King Ludwig II did. The design highlights from King Ludwig’s Castles were adapted and used to create a modern, high-quality thermal bath and spa. The Neuschwanstein Castle can be seen from every area of the thermal bath.

Relax like King Ludwig II.

In the meditation grotto of the thermal bath with precious stones, you can immerse yourself in a land of light. Five tons of crystal, amethyst, rose quartz and agate are back-lit, providing beautiful light in this grotto. You have to experience the effect of the precious stones on the body and soul for yourself.

The royal pool with massage jets has 5% salinity and the Ludwig indoor and outdoor pools with water channel and underwater massage beds have 2.5% salinity.

A saltwater pool with 12% salinity, unique in the Allgau region, is located outside. Float as if you were in the Dead Sea and listen to comforting, relaxing music played underwater and enjoy the view of Neuschwanstein Castle. This pool is kept between 32°-36°C.
